Giggs - Message sent out
Ryan Giggs believes Manchester United's comeback against West Ham United sent out a 'big message' to the club's title rivals.
The Premier League leaders trailed 2-0 at half-time at Upton Park in Saturday's lunchtime kick-off before a Wayne Rooney hat-trick inspired a 4-2 success.
Chelsea and Arsenal subsequently drew later in the day to leave United seven points ahead at the top of the table.
Veteran winger Giggs, who played at left-back in the second half against West Ham, hailed United's character and is enjoying the quest to clinch a record-breaking 19th title.
"We've sent out a big message," said Giggs. "We've come back so many times and we've ground out results when we haven't played so well.
"No matter what the score is at half-time or how badly we're playing, we're always capable of comebacks like we did at West Ham.
"It's a great characteristic to have. That's what it's all about. It's a challenge and I'm enjoying it more than ever.
"It's always a battle in the run-in. Teams are fighting relegation, going for Europe or going for the Champions League.
"There's always something at stake. So every game is a cup final now."
Rooney's foul-mouthed celebration upon completing his hat-trick could lead to a Football Association charge, but Giggs praised the striker's recent form for United.
He added: "Wayne's been excellent the last six weeks. He's played just off the front.
"At West Ham he played up front first half. He played to the left. And his goals were just brilliant.
"Concentration, a little bit of magic with the second goal. He was just brilliant and he's capable of doing that - winning games single-handedly."
