Ferdinand blow for United

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand faces two weeks on the sidelines after picking up a calf injury.

Ferdinand suffered the injury in the warm-up before United's shock 2-1 defeat to Wolves at Molineux.

It means the 32-year-old will miss England's friendly with Denmark on Wednesday as well as the Manchester derby against City next weekend.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson confirmed Ferdinand sustained the injury while warming up against Wolves.

"He turned his calf in the warm-up and he'll be out for a couple of weeks, I believe," said Ferguson.
